Intro to Solar Power

solar system

How it works

Components of the system

1. Solar panels convert sunlight into DC electricity.

2. An inverter converts DC electricity into usable AC electricity.

3. A main breaker panel distributes all incoming power to the building. Any power in excess may be transmitted towards the grid.

4. A meter records both the import and the export of electricity from and to the utility grid, respectively

5. For the power transmitted to the grid, the user will be paid at a pre-determined rate.

Why install it

Benefits of a solar system

  • Applicable almost everywhere

  • The least negative impact on the environment. Solar power is pollution-free and emits no greenhouse gases after installation.

  • Even when it is cloudy, some power may be produced.

  • Reduce Your Energy Bill--- save you up to 86% of your energy costs

  • Can enhance the value of your house ---a sensible investment for your property

  • Long warrenty: PV panels usually have 15 year of warrenty and 25 years of performance garentee

  • Short break-even period: Reach the break-even point in 3-5 years
